Old Town Treasures {Roosevelt, Utah Photographer}
Roosevelt, Utah Local Business
Looking for a great place to shop in the Uintah Basin? Old Town Treasures opened their doors in October of 2010, and has since become my favorite place to shop for unique furniture and decor for our new house (not to mention fun photography props). They wanted to give the Basin more options — something we can definitely use! Their friendly prices and frequent new shipments will keep you heading back for more.

The items they offer range from antique furniture to newer pieces that have been reworked, to knick-knacks and gifts, as well as consignment pieces like art and quilts. You’re sure to find something you LOVE every time you stop by.

The owners/operators are Tracy & Terry Monks and Cindi & Stoney Monks. They’re open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays. They’re located at 688 East 200 North in the Jubilee shopping center in Roosevelt, Utah.

“Like” them on facebook at Old Town Treasures to stay updated about new shipments or sales, then head over to their shop to see everything they have to offer.

The Wood Family {Roosevelt Utah Family Photographer}
My cousin Lisa has such a cute little family! I’m lucky to get to photograph them regularly. She brought her little ones to my Christmas Mini Sessions and we found out the trick with her little guy was for her to step out of sight. He, like lots of other toddlers I’ve worked with, becomes much more cooperative when Mom isn’t around. It worked like a charm again this time around.

Dreyson Tanner Allred {Roosevelt, UT Baby Photographer}
I’ve always believed in miracles, but it’s not often that I get to see them firsthand.
Not quite a year and a half ago I photographed the birth of my best friend Jaime’s baby #6. It was a pretty typical delivery and Taliya was born beautiful and healthy.

We expected a similar situation with baby #7, but he had other plans. At 4:00 in the morning the OB ward turned into a whirlwind. They rushed Jaime into the operating room to do an emergency c-section. I don’t think I’ll ever forget waiting in the hall with Jaime’s parents and husband, not quite sure what was going on. I know I’ll never forget the nurse running down the hall with that precious baby boy, blue and motionless. Luckily, Dreyson’s heart never stopped beating, but he wasn’t breathing. They didn’t even have time to close the curtains to the nursery so we watched through the window as they resuscitated him. And we prayed. Slowly, his little body started to turn pink and we knew he was going to be okay. He was life flighted to Salt Lake later that morning where he has done amazingly well with all of the tests they’ve run. He’s still there and still has some trials to overcome, but we’re looking forward to him coming home soon.

My Valentines! {Uintah Basin Photographer}
Two of my Valentines anyway. My other boys are getting a little old to do lovey-dovey Valentine shoots, and I don’t think I could convince my true Valentine (my hubby) to do any of these poses either.
But these two little ones definitely hold a special place in my heart and they’re growing up WAY too fast.

I have another fun session planned for each of them that I’m hoping to get to before long…

Christmas Mini Sessions {Roosevelt, UT Photographer}
These Christmas Mini Sessions were lots of fun! They were in the clubhouse at the Roosevelt golf course. I may do some other outdoor mini sessions there this year….stay tuned!

Lora & Tanner {Utah Family Photographer}
We spent Thanksgiving with my husband’s family this year in Salt Lake and while we were there I got to do sessions with two of his siblings. The first was his beautiful little sister Lora and her adorable little family at Murray Park.
